Veranos de la Villa. Flamenco en los Jardines de Sabatini – Madrid.

From August 2nd to 16th, Madrid is getting a huge amount of flamenco. The venue is the Sabatini Gardens, for the now classic series Los Veranos de la Villa, making August one of the busiest of the year, as far as flamenco goes.

Singer Enrique Morente opens the series with a recital of cante.  Other major singers such as Lebrijano, Esperanza Fernández, Argentina, Lole Montoya, Diego Carrasco, Paco del Pozo and Juana del Revuelo round out the list of invited singers.  In dance, Manuela Carrasco, Antonio Canales and La Farruca, with José Maya and Lola Greco, el Güito and Joaquín Grilo are slated to perform.

Guitar maestro Paco Cepero as well as El Bola will each offer recitals in the magnificent gardens, with the backdrop of the Royal Palace to guarantee a truly flamenco evening.
