José Fernández Torres, «Tomatito» along with the record company, friends, the media and all his fans, celebrated the most recent Grammy awarded for «Soy Flamenco»
At the Casa Patas Foundation, the guitarist from Almería celebrated and shared the Flamenco Grammy won on November 21st in Las Vegas for his record “Soy Flamenco” for Best Recording of Flamenco Music at the 14th edition of the Latin Grammys. This prize is the fifth Grammy won by the guitarist, and although he doesn’t yet have it physically in his hands, he brought out his four earlier ones for the occasion.
Accompanied by Fernando Crespo of Universal Music Spain, and José Manuel Gamboa, he thanked the world of flamenco, with whom he shared the prize, for this most recent Grammy.
Finalists in this category were “Un Viaje por el Cante” of Argentina, “Artesano” of Miguel Poveda, “Mi única llave” of José Mercé and “Autorretrato” of Estrella Morente.
Congratulations to the maestro, and as the Spanish saying goes, “there are never 5 without a sixth”.
