In addition to the program recently announced, the participation of the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía has been added with the premiere of «IMÁGENES», a new work that offers a summary of the history of the BFA that has just completed two years of existence. The date is the 19th of September at the Maestranza theater at 8:00pm.
In an agreement of collaboration with the UNIA, three artistic projects have been initiated to be presented on September 16th, 17th and 18th under the title «48 Noches, Laboratorio Bienal», with ‘Cartuja a rás’ of Raúl Cantizano and Santiago Berber and Los Voluble , ‘Vanguardias y retaguardias’ of Gero Domínguez and ‘Me va gustando’of Marcos Vargas and Chloé Brûle. The venue is the Padre Nuestro patio of the Cartuja Monastery.
In the Districts of Seville the Bienal is also taking place, and numerous activities have been programmed throughout the summer such as ‘Triana, sueño flamenco’, and the ‘Concurso de soleares – Naranjito de Triana’ scheduled for the autumn. The 38th Festival de la La Fragua was also held July 12th in Bellavista. With the project 'La Bienal va a la Escuela', workshops and shows were programmed in the schools of Seville with singer Laura Vital and 'Flamenclown'.
The streetcars that criss-cross Seville are decorated with the images of flamenco artists announcing the upcoming Bienal to be held in various venues. Without a doubt, a great attraction for flamenco fans, something that had never been done before in such a graphic way.
Another popular activity will be the flashmob being prepared by Pastora Galván to be staged at the Plaza Nueva the closing day, October 5th at 12 noon.
The University of Seville, in conjunction with the CICUS and the SGAE Foundation, will also be present in this edition of the Bienal. Exhibits, performances, screenings, round-tables, lectures, master-classes… The series «Mujeres en Proyección» brings the projection of several documentaries: “Silencio” of Remedios Malvárez, “Impulsiva” of Félix Vázquez, “Flamencas: Mujeres, Fuerza y Duende” of Jonathan González and Marcos Medina, “Pintoresca” of Rosario Toledo and “Fotogramas fascinantes” of Cristina Cruces.
In tribute to Morente, there will be a photographic exhibit «Donde Mana la Fuente» by Manuel Montaño. The SGAE Foundation will also offer classes with Juan Carlos Romero in guitar, Marcos Vargas and Chloé Brule in dance and Rafael Riqueni will offer a master class.
There is also a series of performances in the patio of the CICUS with performers such as Manuela Vargas and Eugenio Iglesias, La Marquesita and Juan Requena, El Choro, Vicente Gelo and Lidia Valle, Silvia de Paz and José Acedo.

. Taller Flamenco, ADOS Ángel Atienza Escuela de Flamenco, Flamenco Abierto de Andrés Marín, Estudio de baile flamenco Alicia Márquez, Estudio Flamenco Antoñete, Estudio Flamenco Sevilla, Flamenco Danza Estudio,……allowing flamenco followers to participate in their courses when visiting the Bienal
