For four days Seville’s convention center, FIBES, has become a
meeting place for designers, models, professional and agents from the
world of flamenco fashion with the Salón Internacional de Moda
Flamenca, SIMOF. This eleventh edition continues the development of a
rapidly growing sector of the Andalusian economy.
In the aim to develop the business of flamenco fashion the show has surpassed
the attendance of previous years as well as the number of participating
designers. 63 firms and 24 professional shows are offering the latest
trends in all sorts of flamenco costumes and accessories.
The weekend brings a complete and varied program. From Friday the fourth,
the general public will be able to enjoy the creations of Pepe Jiménez
“El Ajolí” with his collection “Embrujo”
in addition to Basi del Río; Sonibel Creaciones; Ángeles
Espinar and Trajes de Flamenca Mari Carmen Cruz. The last show will be
by Aurora Gaviño and Carmen Jarén.

On Saturday the 5ht, Miss Spain 2003, Eva González will be present
and the audience will be able to enjoy the gay and colorful vision of
eight professional designers: Flecos y De la Feria al Rocío; Pitusa
Gasul y Ñ Diseño; Juana Martín; Pilar Vera; Amparo
Maciá; Nuevo Montecarlo; Ángeles Verano y Ángela
Guima y Pepa Garrido.
The show closes on Sunday the 6th with the designs of Manos Bordadoras
y Complementos Dublos; Luchi Cabrera; Rosalía Zahíno y Crisluz;
Azahares-Ángela Campos; Creaciones Maricruz; Carmen Latorre y Sergio
Vidal y Carvajal, followed by the prize for best model of the exposition
SIMOF-2005.

The exposition includes flamenco dresses, the latest fabrics being used
for flamenco, costume jewelry, footwear, shawls, and other accessories.
The show is open from 11:30am to 10:00pm, with no break for siesta, and
the entrace fee of 9 euros includes the exposition area (as well as the
Feria Mundial del Toro from Thursday to Sunday, without show), and 5 additional
euros for each fashion show. A 25-euro ticket includes the exposition
zone for each day of the entire event.
