Rosario Montoya 'La Farruca' presents GITANAS.

A perspective of the past which reflects the cafés cantantes of the end of the nineteenth century where gypsy women defended the purity of their art. Dance, cante and guitar with a dose of humor as well, face-offs, seduction, power…all the drama of a race. Gypsy women who are mothers, and mothers without children, the pain of being sidelined, and art is the only way to survive. A profound aesthetic, traditional gypsy music and dance. Unforgettable.

of female dance. Pilar Montoya La Faraona, Angelita Vargas, Carmelilla

Noteworthy is the production by Faccino and Flamenco Libre, the collaboration
of Richard Harrison, from the team that made Moulin Rouge, for the scenography,
as well as Farruca herself who designed the wardrobe. The artistic and
musical direction was handled by Juan Manuel Fernández, Farruquito,
who directed show along with his mother.

After debuting with this work in Murcia, the group is to participate
at the flamenco festival in Mont-de-Marsan on July 7th, and the Festival
Flamenco de Mallorca on August 11th and 12th.
