Download the official program in PDF “Clásicos del Siglo XXI” includes new work by a generation that bridges the style of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries with a new aesthetic discourse. The Bienal feels the responsibility of safe-guarding the most traditional flamenco legacy. “Lo Jondo de lo Future” is a series of concerts that offers precisely the great maestros whom we are obligated to look to. There is also special attention given to soloists who do not usually head programas in the regular circuits, and who give freshness to what the Bienal has been defending for the last thirty years in the series “El Flamenco Que Viene”, to be carried out at the Teatro Alameda and the Teatro Central. “Flamenco Para Niños” is clearly designed for children, and offers shows for school groups at the Teatro Alameda. “Flamencos y Otras Aves” is characterized by the inclusion of other artistic disciplilnes, and the ability of various artists to be influenced by other musical genres, while “Son de las Estrellas” affords the unique opportunity to enjoy four night of traditional flamenco under the stars at the Hotel Triana. “Lo Jondo del Futuro” includes the concerts of major stars such as Lebrijano, Agujestas, José Menese, Macanita and Pansequito among many others, while “Clásicos del Siglo XXI” brings the shows of artists such as Rocío Molina, Andrés Marín, Farruquito, Dorantes, Tomatito and Estrella Morente. Pastora Galván, Antonio Canales, Antonio El Pipa, Marina Heredia, Javier Barón…the list goes on and on, and practically no major star or promising newcomer has been left out. Even the Ballet of Yoko Komatsubara will participate in honor of its 40th anniversary. |
