On October 11th a new edition of the series «Jueves Flamencos» organized each year by the Fundación El Monte and programed by Manuel Herrera, was presented in Sevilla.
Manolo Sanlúcar opens
the concert series on November 9th at the Sala Joaquín Turina which
each Thursday will present a program of the best of the current flamenco
scene.
The balance between classics and young people will allow flamenco fans
to see stars like Sanlúcar, Javier Barón, Esperanza Fernández,
Merche Esmeralda, Miguel Poveda, la Compañía de Antonio
El Pipa, Tomatito and Belén Maya, as well as young hopefuls who
are rarely seen at larger theaters. Important premieres are also included
such as those of María José Franco, Rosario Toledo, Ángeles
Gabaldón, Manuel Liñan with Olga Pericet and Marco Flores,
and Rafaela Carrasco.
