This is the first recording on the market of this dancer who in addition to composing the words and music included on the record, takes part in most of the cantes.

Juan Ramírez has taken the plunge of recording his first record
of dance. Not many records of this sort are on the market, and when one
comes out, it’s all the more news-worthy when it comes from one
of today’s best flamenco dancers.
A versatile artist very few artists can match, Ramírez has put
out a well-rounded work that will be continued in a second part he’s
currently working on.
“Más flamenco que el tacón”, [‘More flamenco
than heelwork’], an apt title, comes with a DVD that includes an
interview with the artist, photographs, images and a live recording of
part of Juan Ramírez’ show at the Palau de la Música
in Altea.
