Scheduled to take place October 4th to 11th, 2013
The festival will take place in the city of Seville and four towns of the province, Mairena del Aljarafe, Valencina de la Concepción, Salteras y Santiponce, with a variety of guitarists, Spanish and international, and a diversity of musical styles such as classical, flamenco, jazz, etc. The event is a point of encounter aimed at cultivating interest in the wonderful instrument which is the guitar, so deeply rooted in Spain. Guest artists will share experiences, techniques and new musical forms, as well as discover new works and professional challenges, future projects (duos, trios, collaborations…) that greatly enrich the musicians, opening new horizons and possibilities for development and growth. The Festival de Guitarra is a multi-layered event with activities, discovery and emotion for everyone. These are the first steps of what is intended to be a high-quality event, the seed of quality to guarantee future editions, and growth in coming years.
