This morning the FLAMENCO FESTIVAL 08 was presented at the Casa de America in Madrid. Artists such as Carmen Linares, Miguel Poveda, Yerbabuena, Mario Maya, Juan Carlos Romero, Javier Barón, María Pagés, Farruco, Diana Navarra and Rocío Molina among others were present, along with Miguel Marín, founder and director of the festival, Bibiana Aído from the Agencia del Flamenco, Juan Carlos Marset from INAEM and Domingo González, director of the Seville Bienal de Flamenco.

They all presented this year’s edition that will travel to American cities formerly visited, New York, Miama, Washington, D.C., Los Ángeles, Boston and Montreal, as well as London, Paris, Brussels which has been incorporated for this edition.
Noteworthy is the show “MUJERES” with Merche Esmeralda, Belén Maya, Rocío Molina and guest artist Diana Navarro, directed by Mario Maya, and the how EVA YERBABUENA BALLET FLAMENCO which is the one to be presented in the greatest number of cities, being the only show to go to Los Ángele, Boston and Montreal.
Another interesting show is called “CUATRO ESQUINAS” with Miguel Poveda, Carmen Linares, Juan Carlos Romero and dancer Pastora Galván. Tomatito, Estrella Morente, Son de la Frontera, Los Farruco, María Pagés, Israel Galván, Rafael Carrasco and the show “VIVA JEREZ”, Marina Heredia are also participating. Spanish lyrical and pop singing is the guest on this tour and will be represented by Diana Navarro in special collaboration with the show Mujeres, as well as in Jazz at Lincon Center and Concha Buika at the London Festival.
