After celebration of the semifinals of Cante, Guitar, Dance and Instrumentalist, the jury has named the finalists for this edition of the contest.
Special Report 54th Festival Internacional del Cante de las Minas
The jury selected 4 singers, 1 guitarist, 2 dancers and 2 instrumentalists. Among the 17 prizes to be distributed Saturday, are the Lámpara Minera, the Bordón Minero, the Desplante and the Filón.
The four finalists in singing are Sebastián Cruz Márquez, Miguel Montero Martín «Miguel de La Tolea», David Lagos Aguilar and María José Pérez Rodríguez. Two dancers, Juan Antonio Fernández Montoya «Barullo» and Yolanda Osuna Linares. Two instrumentalists, Gautama del Campo Peñalver and Antonio Moreno Sáenz in addition to guitarists José Tomás Jiménez Villalta.
In the specialty of guitar, there are two prizes, the first being the «Bordón Minero» with a cash prize of 6,000 euros.
There are also two dance prizes: the first is the «Desplante», with 9,000 euros.
Two prizes will be awarded for instumentalist, and the winner will receive the “Filón” and 6,000 euros.
