Each year Granada presents its Encuentros Flamencos at the Isabel la Católica Theater as part of its autumn festival coinciding with Spain’s national holidays of the Constitución.
Enrique Morente is the most
noteworthy star this year, and closes the festival on December 10th. Other
participating Granada artists are Chonchi Heredia, la Nitra, El Parrón
and Juan Andrés Maya among others.
Rounding out the program are the “Trasnoches Flamencos”,
free afterhours shows at Granada’s flamenco clubs each night with
Alba Heredia and the Familia Maya in addition to many others. Parallel
activities are also included, as well as a didactic program with the presence
of many important speakers.
